Ag Valley Co-op's Producer Summit will be held on Wednesday, February 16th. The event focuses on producer education with topics covering carbon credits, fertilizer, energy, and feed. The event will be held in McCook, NE at the Red Willow County Fairgrounds. 


Steve Cubbage is vice president of professional services for Farmobile, a member of the Ag Growth International family of brands. Farmobile, Agriculture's Independent Data Company, is a leader in enabling farmers, ag retailers and ag channel partners to automatically collect, organize and share a standardized data set of agronomic and machine data from a mixed fleet of ag retail and farm equipment. The company is based in Leawood, Kansas. With 30+ years in boots-on-the-ground farming, agronomy and precision ag leadership, Steve joined Farmobile in 2018 overseeing services to help customers stream top-quality, groundtruthed Farmobile-collected data into their systems and software. Steve serves, also, as a guest columnist for Farm Journal Media and founder of Record Harvest — a progressive agronomy services company he started in 1999. Fourth generation on the family’s Nevada, MO farm, Steve graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in ag economics and journalism. He says it’s still a “bit of a mystery” how an ag journalist ended up in precisionag, where he “learns something new every day.”

Cheryl Karguth  is the Senior Risk Management Consultant – Energy for StoneX Financial. Cheryl has been involved in the petroleum/energy industry since 1990. She has held positions with Farmland Industries, CHS/Country Energy, Local Cooperative, and FCStone/StoneX Financial, Inc. Cheryl has a wealth of experience in the energy market including managing exposure, developing strategies, finding liquidity and efficiencies and opportunities. Sheryl enjoys her small farm life including her dogs, horses, and chickens. Josh Linville is the Director of Fertilizer for StoneX Financial Inc. – FCM Division. Having grown up in Northwest Missouri on a family farm that raised row crops, tobacco and livestock, Josh brings a unique point of view to the fertilizer markets. With 20 years of experience in the fertilizer industry, Josh has operated in roles that have given him perspective on the market as a North American logistics specialist, a U.S.-based nitrogen producer, and General Manager of Trade in Melbourne Australia. Josh and his team, which spans around the world, have been hard at work educating the market on how to use fertilizer futures markets to not only offset price risk but also be able to sell products to farmers well before fertilizer producers release their physical sales programs.

Jim Warren is a commodity broker in the Kansas City office for CHS Hedging. He works closely with farmers, providing market insights and strategies to help them manage price risk in their operations. With more than 30 years of experience in futures markets, trading and market planning, Warren serves as a strategic partner to his clients.

 He began his agriculture career as a full-time producer and partner in a family-owned, farrow-to-finish hog enterprise. He still grows corn and soybeans on his farm north of St. Joseph, Mo.
