Ag Valley Co-op, in partnership with the Land O’Lakes Foundation, has awarded a total of $12,000 to three local food pantries, reinforcing a shared commitment to strengthening rural communities and helping address food insecurity.
The Arapahoe Food Pantry, Frontier County Food Pantry, and Oxford Food Pantry each received a $4,000 donation to support their efforts in providing food assistance to individuals and families throughout the communities they serve.
As food costs continue to rise and demand for assistance increases, local food pantries play a vital role in ensuring families have access to nutritious meals. Through this partnership with the Land O’Lakes Foundation, Ag Valley is proud to invest in organizations that provide essential resources and support to neighbors across its trade area.
“Supporting the communities where our member owners, customers, and employees live and work is a responsibility we take seriously,” said Jeff Krejdl, CEO of Ag Valley Co-op.
Each of the food pantries plans to use the funds to support its local community in ways that best meet its needs. Planned uses include purchasing food and other essential supplies, helping replenish pantry inventories, and ensuring families facing food insecurity have access to nutritious meals throughout the year.
Ag Valley believes strong communities are built through collaboration and local partnerships. By working alongside organizations like the Land O’Lakes Foundation, the cooperative continues its mission of supporting the people and communities that help agriculture thrive.
